In 2023, Bella came to a heart screening as a student-athlete. During her screening, it was discovered that she had Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) Syndrome. Because it was caught early, she received the treatment she needed and safely returned to the sports she loves.

But Bella didn’t stop there. She became a champion for our mission, helping bring a heart screening to her high school so her classmates could have the same opportunity. She then volunteered at additional screenings, shared her story, and even led fundraising efforts through her church to install AEDs in her local parks.

This is what young leadership looks like. Bella took a life-changing experience and turned it into a mission to protect others. As she heads off to college, we couldn’t be prouder of the leader she has become. We know this is only the beginning of the impact she’ll have, and we can’t wait to see where her journey takes her.

Thank you, Bella, for showing that one heart screening can save a life, and one young leader can inspire an entire community.
