In the summer of 2021, Gretna Music received an outdoor AED cabinet and AED through the Peyton Walker Foundation. On July 22, that AED became critical. A 72-year-old man collapsed in the parking lot outside the Jigger Shop. A bystander immediately began CPR and called for an AED — the closest one was the device placed at Gretna Music. Because it was there, help was there when seconds mattered most.
