Register for our FREE heart screening on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Mountain View Middle School, 30 Bali Hai Rd Mechanicsburg, PA. Lives have been saved with our heart screenings! Since EKGs aren’t required for school and pre-sports physicals, underlying heart conditions can easily go undetected because of the student’s healthy appearance and peak physical condition.
Our screenings are provided at no cost to students aged 10-22 years old, who are not currently under the care of a cardiologist and who have not previously been screened by The Peyton Walker Foundation.
Students receive a vitals check, get checked for heart murmurs, and also receive an electrocardiogram (EKG). If anything unusual shows up on their EKG or during their murmur check, a FREE echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) is offered during the screening clinic.
Every family will meet with a healthcare professional to discuss the results of their child’s testing, will leave with a copy of their EKG, and will receive a summary report of their visit. UPMC Heart & Vascular will provide Medical assistants, nurses, PAs, NPs, and cardiologists. The visit typically takes 60 minutes – time well spent! Register today!
